Photo Update

The fifth day of Badger Boys State began with the citizens completing their last day in the schools of instruction. Some of the schools had quizzes to end the session but all made time for evaluations from the citizens in order to make the future sessions more successful. Here, a few citizens in the school of parliamentary procedure take time for a smile and thumbs up after completing the quiz.

The last half of the morning concluded with all city governments in session. The city councils met to discuss ordinances and budget, the board of review were in session, the county supervisors met in the counties and the municipal and circuit courts met. Here, a city law is publicized to maintain traffic safety.

In the afternoon, the citizens voted for the state primary elections. At the election, they narrowed the list of potential candidates for state-level positions down to one for each party. Here, two citizens are casting their ballots as the election committee looks on.

Even though the weather was not the best today, the citizens didn't let that keep them from competing in sports. Here, a group of citizens playing basketball together pose with a citizen and his unicycle.

The band plays a concert before each assembly as the rest of the citizens arrive at the gym. Counselor Jon, seen here with the band, conducts as they rehearse for tonight's concert.

After tonight's assembly, the state convention was held, with the party chairmen presiding over it. The party chairmen presented the party candidates and the party's platform, nominees for state offices gave speeches and a question and answer session was held for gubernatorial candidates. Here, the citizens listen to a candidate running for governor give his speech.
