The seventh day of Badger Boys State began with meetings for every citizen who held an elected position. The city councils all the way up to the supreme court were discussing issues and trying to better the state they created just a week ago.
Afterward, Dave Schuler, vice president of the Badger Boys State board, spoke to the citizens about planning for their future (seen here).
Other members of the Badger Boys State staff spoke to the citizens about life after high school. The staff holds careers in everything from the music industry to the military. Connor Zwick, seen here, is talking about planning for college and how to best maximize the possibility of getting into schools of choice.
Colleges from Wisconsin were also on campus today to host a college fair for the citizens, who were allowed to walk around the gym for an hour and talk with representatives from nearly every college in Wisconsin. Here, Gary Williams (seen in the red polo), associate athletic director of Carthage College and county counselor in Dodge County, speaks to the citizens along with the Carthage College representative.
The Badger Boys State athletic director concluded the week's athletics with an "all star games" in baseball, football, volleyball, basketball and tennis (he cross country team ran a race). Here, the members of the cross country team take off from the starting point.
Today also concluded the special discussion sessions. Seen here is Counselor Eric talking to citizens about how to influence the school board during their senior year in high school.
Tonight, the citizens and staff of Badger Boys State paid tribute to all veterans with the "salute to veterans" service. The choir sang, the band played and the patriotism soared. Not many people left the assembly without a few tears in their eyes.
